About the Role

Pharmacist in Charge (Compounding)
New York, NY
Up to $100 per hour + equity potential!
Approx. 30 hours per week: Weekday operating hours

Ready to run a pharmacy where PBMs, insurance rejections and a packed counter simply aren't part of the job?

This cash-only compounding pharmacy opens in December, and you'll be leading it from the very first day.

It's a rare chance to build a pharmacy your way, with an owner who wants you front and center.

What you'll be doing

  • Taking charge of a brand new sterile and non-sterile compounding operation as PIC, hazardous preparations included.
  • Owning the daily rhythm of the pharmacy, from opening and closing to workflow, ordering and processing in the pharmacy system.
  • Leading a team of technicians and writing the SOPs that keep every preparation fully compliant.
  • Working with patients who already know exactly what they need, so your time goes into compounding rather than long phone calls about refills.
  • Partnering directly with the owner on how the pharmacy grows, as the face of the operation.

The business

A new compounding pharmacy launching in Midtown East, Manhattan, with doors set to open in December.

The owner has opened several pharmacies across New York City. He focuses on marketing and growing the patient base, and leaves the running of the pharmacy to his PIC. That means real autonomy for you.

The purpose-built lab sits in one of Manhattan's most sought-after neighborhoods, and most patients are served remotely, so the focus stays on quality compounding rather than walk-in traffic.

Benefits

  • Up to $100 per hour for approx. 30 hours per week
  • Long-term equity and vesting discussions for the right person
  • Pay that rises as the business grows
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Brand new lab in a prime Manhattan location
  • Flexibility on your transition while the pharmacy completes licensing

What you'll need

  • Active New York pharmacist license, eligible to serve as PIC
  • Hands-on sterile compounding experience
  • The confidence to run a pharmacy independently, day to day
  • Flexibility for the occasional weekend catch-up when volume calls for it
  • A positive, solutions-first approach
